Many products, in particular electronic products for example ebooks, audio, video and pieces of software, especially in the field of online or internet marketing, are sold with certain rights or permissions included.
These are known as Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights or Private Label Rights. It is therefore necessary to distinguish between Standard Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights and Private Label Rights. This is done below. Note: Resell is often spelt "Resale".
Products with these Permissions and/or Rights, are the most cost & time efficient way to earn substantial sums of revenue on the Internet in particular, because it allows instant & multiple delivery of the product electronically over the internet.
This magnificent concept eliminates the requirement to carry stock as is does the requirement for stock storage facility as well. Furthermore because it doesn’t require physical postage or delivery it allows delivery to be instant and also 24/7.
All these conveniences make dealing with these products extremely attractive as an instant cash generating business.
The same products sold time and time again in this manner are capable of generating enormous amounts of instant cash.
Each product with such rights will be sold with a Rights Certificate/ Licence Terms that clearly define the terms under which the product can be resold.
Some Resell Rights product will not permit alteration of any of its content or in any way change/tamper with the information. It is recommended that instructions on the licence terms that are provided with the product be carefully followed. Authors may permit variation upon request to them.
Subject to the terms of the licence as explained above; Standard Resell Rights permits the purchaser to re-sell unlimited quantities of the product and retain 100% of the revenue. Any product sold under the Standard Resell Rights Terms should only include the PUO (Personal Use Only) right and therefore these products cannot be sold with same The Resell Rights that they have been provided with. If this is somewhat unclear, the below definition of Master Resell Rights will perhaps make it easier to grasp the concept. The vendor of the product in this instance will have Master Resell Rights.
If a product carries Master Resell Rights: It permits the product being sold with "Standard Resell Rights".
A product can carry such right if the vendor of the product is the author/ manufacturer or if the vendor has acquired these Rights.
Offering products with Standard Resell Rights as opposed to Personal Use Only can command a much higher price. Up to 5 times or more than the product value.
It follows because only a few sales would enable recovery of the investment made for purchase. Depending on volumes sold, the rest is all substantial profit.
Products with Private Label Rights permits editing the content or product and claim it as your own work (meaning, you become its author and Master Resell Rights Holder by default). You can then give permissions as you choose.
